Price Includes

This course includes 3 Classroom Sessions, 2 Confined Water Sessions, and 3 Open Water Sessions. We'll cover safety and problem management for breath holding, proper breathing exercises, equipment for freediving, physics of freediving, physiology of a breath hold, psychology for freediving, and training exercises for dryland, pool, and ocean.

Equipment Requirements

All students must bring a full wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, weightbelt, and weights. Kona Freedivers has a wide variety of high quality rental and purchase options for freedive specific gear. Students will receive a discount on purchases made at Kona Freedivers!

Open Water sessions will be held at Honaunau Bay / City of Refuge, aka "Two-Step". This site is approximately 40 minutes south of Kailua Kona. All students must have their own transportation everyday to and from the confined and open water sessions.
